President Park pays state visit to India & Swiss

President Park's state visit to India & Swiss from 15th to 22nd.
Participating in Davos Forum. New Year's first 'Korea Sales' tour.

From coming 15th to 22nd President Park Geun-Hye going to pay a official state visit to India and Switzerland. Also set to attend the annual general meeting of World Economic Forum(WEF) "Davos Forum". It is going to be the 6th overseas visit since she got appointed as president. According to blue house, in this visit it is expected that Korea's economic investment policies will be introduced and the prime focus will be on 'Sales Diplomacy' which positively promotes the economic investment environment. On the invitation of Indian Government, first President Park will be visiting India from 15th till 18th and conduct the bilateral summit with prime minister Manmohan Singh. Blue House announced that, in this summit the top leaders of both countries will discuss about strengthening the co-operation in the field of diplomacy & security and expanding the investments in education sector. Also they will discuss about laying the foundation in creative economy core centers, science & technology, ICT. And it is also expected that the opinions regarding the korean peninsula and other regional issues will be discussed.

Following that President Park will pay a state visit to Switzerland from 18th to 21st and  meet the Swiss president Burkhalter and conduct the bilateral summit. They will be discussing about trade investment expansion plan and the ways to strengthen the co-operation in vocational education, Science & Technology. They will also discuss about global issues like climate change and also about korean peninsula situation. After establishing diplomatic relations in year 1963, it is going to be the first visit of a Korean president to Swiss.After her Swiss visit, the two next days from 21st, she will be participating in the 44th World Economic Forum,an annual general meeting in Davos. In that global session she will be giving a key note address on the topic of "Creative economy and entrepreneurship spirit". She will be discussing and interacting individually with the CEO's of top leading technology companies which are selected for 2014 WEF. Also the event 'Korean Night' will also take place which is getting organized by Federation of Korea Industries. With respective to Davos forum, after the participation of former President Park Lee Myung in 2010, now President Park Geun-Hye is participating after 4 years.

Strong earthquake of magnitude 8.3 hits Chile.. Tsunami warning issued till Peru

A strong earthquake of  magnitude 8.3 occured in the vicinity of Santiago, the capital city of Chile, on 16th April at 7:54 PM. Because of the earthquake, the entire coastal area of Chile and the neighbouring country Peru , has been issued Tsunami warning and an advisory has been issued in Hawai, US. Also, the buildings of the Santiago city has were strongly shaken because of which thousands of fear-stricken citizens rushed out to the street, evacuating their houses, which caused a huge chaos. The Chilean government revealed that due to the unstable condition of communication services in that area, the details of injuries and damages cannot be reported yet. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) initially announced the magnitude of the earthquake to be at 7.9  but they immediately upgraded it to magnitude 8.3. STRONG QUAKE IN CHILLE [SANTIAGO].......TSUNAMI ALERT IN PERU

A strong earthquake of magnitude 8.3 struck off the vicinity of santiago [capital city of Chille] on 16th at 7:54 pm.Tsunami alert has been issued in the whole coastal side of chille and the neighbouring countries of Peru even in Hawaii ,due to this strong earthquake.  Also,in the santiago downtown ,building were strongly shaken therefore thousands of fear stricen people came out on the street consequently there's happened a big ruckus everywhere.  But due to telecommunication's unstability no any detailed report about injured or dam a ges have been rulled out .  USGS[united states geological survey] initially announced the Earthquake of magnitude 7.9 but immediately updated the magnitude to 8.3.  According to USGS ,the epicentre was located at the Pacific Ocean coast which is 228 km away from NW Santiago.And the depth of the focus was 5 km only.  Chille University estimated that the epicentre was 500km north of the Santiago and the depth of the focus wa...
