President Park visits India and Switzerland from September 15th to 22nd

President Park Geun-hye will visit India and Switzerland from 15th to 22nd. In Switzerland, he will attend the Davos Forum, the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum .

This is her sixth foreign trip and first overseas trip since she has assumed her office. According to blue house, in this visit it is expected that Korea's economic investment policies will be introduced and the prime focus will be on 'Sales Diplomacy' which positively promotes the economic investment environment.
  
As reported by the BLUE HOUSE, this visit is actively purposed to promote Korea’s Foreign Sales Policy and Economic Policy.

First of all, President Park, on invitation of the Indian government will visit India from 15th to 18th, and attend a summit conference with Indian Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh.

Blue House announced that, in this summit the top leaders of both countries will discuss about strengthening the co-operation in the field of diplomacy & security and expanding the investments in education sector. Also they will discuss about laying the foundation in creative economy core centers, science & technology, ICT. And it is also expected that the opinions regarding the korean peninsula and other regional issues will be discussed.

Following this, President Park will pay a state visit to Switzerland and will hold a summit with President Brukhalter from 18-21. They will be discussing about trade investment expansion plan and the ways to strengthen the co-operation in vocational education, Science & Technology. They will also discuss about global issues like climate change and also about korean peninsula situation. It is the first time that the President of Korea has paid a state visit to Switzerland since 1963.

President Park will attend the 44th World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting (also known as the Davos Forum ) held in Davos, Switzerland, for two days starting on May 21, after a state visit to Switzerland.
She will also hold meeting with the representatives of the companies who are the global technology leaders as per the ranking of 2014 WEF and will have personal interaction with the CEOs of the Federation of Korean Industries organizing the 'Korea Night' event.


It’s been four years since a President of Korea attended the Davos Forum. The last time it was attended by President Lee Myung Bak in 2010.

Strong earthquake of magnitude 8.3 hits Chile.. Tsunami warning issued till Peru

A strong earthquake of  magnitude 8.3 occured in the vicinity of Santiago, the capital city of Chile, on 16th April at 7:54 PM. Because of the earthquake, the entire coastal area of Chile and the neighbouring country Peru , has been issued Tsunami warning and an advisory has been issued in Hawai, US. Also, the buildings of the Santiago city has were strongly shaken because of which thousands of fear-stricken citizens rushed out to the street, evacuating their houses, which caused a huge chaos. The Chilean government revealed that due to the unstable condition of communication services in that area, the details of injuries and damages cannot be reported yet. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) initially announced the magnitude of the earthquake to be at 7.9  but they immediately upgraded it to magnitude 8.3. STRONG QUAKE IN CHILLE [SANTIAGO].......TSUNAMI ALERT IN PERU

A strong earthquake of magnitude 8.3 struck off the vicinity of santiago [capital city of Chille] on 16th at 7:54 pm.Tsunami alert has been issued in the whole coastal side of chille and the neighbouring countries of Peru even in Hawaii ,due to this strong earthquake.  Also,in the santiago downtown ,building were strongly shaken therefore thousands of fear stricen people came out on the street consequently there's happened a big ruckus everywhere.  But due to telecommunication's unstability no any detailed report about injured or dam a ges have been rulled out .  USGS[united states geological survey] initially announced the Earthquake of magnitude 7.9 but immediately updated the magnitude to 8.3.  According to USGS ,the epicentre was located at the Pacific Ocean coast which is 228 km away from NW Santiago.And the depth of the focus was 5 km only.  Chille University estimated that the epicentre was 500km north of the Santiago and the depth of the focus wa...
