PRESIDENT PARK'S VISIT TO INDIA & SWITZERLAND FROM SEPTEMBER 15-21

President 'Park Geun-Hye' will be on state visit to India followed by Switzerland from 15-21 this September.She will also attend the World Economic Forum(Davos Forum) in Switzerland.

This is her first overseas meeting for this year and sixth foreign trip after she assumed her office.

The Blue House reported that this trip is motivated with sales diplomacy.
As per invitation, President will visit India from 15 to 18 and will hold a bilateral summit with India's PM Manmohan Singh.

As per Blue House, this trip will focus on the co-operation in the field of diplomacy and security. It will promote real co-operation in the fields of education and investment expansion following the establishment of co-operation in science & ICT which is defined as the core of the economy.Discussions of issues on North Korea will also be in schedule.

Later, President Park will be on state visit to Switzerland and hold a summit with President Brukhalter from 18 to 21, discussing the issues of trade investment expansion, strengthening co-operation in vocational training, science and technology etc. 

There will be talk on the global issues also like climate change and issues of Korean penisula.This is the first state visit to Switzerland by any president of Korea since 1963.

After this state visit to Switzerland, President Park will attend the 44th World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting from 21 at Davos where she will give a keynote address on issues of creative economy and entrepreneurship spirit.

She will have meeting with the representative of the companies which are the global technology leaders ranked in WEF of 2014. Further she will have personal interaction with the CEOs of the federation of korean industries organizing the 'Korea Night' event.

It has been four years since the current President has attended the Davos Forum which was previously attended by President Lee Myung-Bak in 2004.

Strong earthquake of magnitude 8.3 hits Chile.. Tsunami warning issued till Peru

A strong earthquake of  magnitude 8.3 occured in the vicinity of Santiago, the capital city of Chile, on 16th April at 7:54 PM. Because of the earthquake, the entire coastal area of Chile and the neighbouring country Peru , has been issued Tsunami warning and an advisory has been issued in Hawai, US. Also, the buildings of the Santiago city has were strongly shaken because of which thousands of fear-stricken citizens rushed out to the street, evacuating their houses, which caused a huge chaos. The Chilean government revealed that due to the unstable condition of communication services in that area, the details of injuries and damages cannot be reported yet. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) initially announced the magnitude of the earthquake to be at 7.9  but they immediately upgraded it to magnitude 8.3. STRONG QUAKE IN CHILLE [SANTIAGO].......TSUNAMI ALERT IN PERU

A strong earthquake of magnitude 8.3 struck off the vicinity of santiago [capital city of Chille] on 16th at 7:54 pm.Tsunami alert has been issued in the whole coastal side of chille and the neighbouring countries of Peru even in Hawaii ,due to this strong earthquake.  Also,in the santiago downtown ,building were strongly shaken therefore thousands of fear stricen people came out on the street consequently there's happened a big ruckus everywhere.  But due to telecommunication's unstability no any detailed report about injured or dam a ges have been rulled out .  USGS[united states geological survey] initially announced the Earthquake of magnitude 7.9 but immediately updated the magnitude to 8.3.  According to USGS ,the epicentre was located at the Pacific Ocean coast which is 228 km away from NW Santiago.And the depth of the focus was 5 km only.  Chille University estimated that the epicentre was 500km north of the Santiago and the depth of the focus wa...
