President Park
visits India and Switzerland from September 15th to 22nd
President Park Guen-Hye will visit India and Switzerland from 15th
to 22nd this month.
She will also be attending Davos Forum…. this is also Korea’s first
New Year “Korea Sales”.
On coming 15th to 22nd President Park will be
in a state visit to India and Switzerland. In Switzerland, she will attend the
Davos Forum which is the annual meeting of the World’s Economic Forum. This is
the first oversea visit of this year and the sixth since she assumed office.
The Blue House has reported that this visit will introduce economic innovation policy
an actively promotes the sales diplomacy for investment environment. President
Park has been invited as a state guest by India Government from 15th
to 18th and will hold a bilateral summit with PM Man Mohan Singh.
According to the Blue house, the leaders of the two countries will
have a conference upon strengthening the diplomacy and security and improving
cooperation in the field of education and investment expansion. They will also
focus on science and technology and ICT which is the core area of creative
economy. The two leaders will discuss about the situation in and around Korean
peninsula.
After this President Park will go on a state visit to Switzerland
from 18th to 21st. President Park will have a summit on
issues related to expansion of trade, vocational training plans, science and
technology and global issues related to climate change etc. They will also hold
talks related to Korean Peninsula issues.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations with Switzerland in
1963, this is the first visit of any Korean President to Switzerland. After completing
the state visit to Swiss, she will be attending the 44th Davos Forum
for two days from 21st onwards. She will be presenting her keynote
speech on creative economy and entrepreneurial spirit. President Park will be
having conference with the Global Tech. leaders and will be interacting with
the CEO’s personally. Also she will be attending the “Korean Night” programme organized
by Federation of Korean Industries. It has been four years since the Korean
President attended the Davos Forum. The last time it was attended by Lee Myung
- bak in 2010
